What you'll need to stencil a Sisel Rug using the Shipibo Stencil Cutting Edge Stencils' Interlocking stencil pattern (Shipibo Stencil used here) Clip on stencil level Benjamin Moore paint (shown in brown horse 2108-30) Dense foam roller Paper towels Stencil brush Foam plate Painters tape

Here's What You Do:

First mask off the binding, the area around the rug. Easy steps to learn how to stencil a Sisel rug using a Shihibo stencil Then position your stencil on the rug, and adhere it with a small piece of blue painters tape on each corner. Pour your paint onto the foam plate and load your dense foam roller. Then offload the paint onto a paper towel by rolling it back and forth until the roller seems almost dry and the paint is evenly distributed. (Note, It might be a good idea, if you are a first time stenciler, to stencil a piece of cardboard or something disposable first to make sure you have the hang of it prior to painting your walls.) Start stenciling your rug using your large stencil brush. Lift the stencil slightly to check the coverage. If adequate, continue painting. Remove the stencil from the rug slowly. Realign the stencil, the stencil aligns with itself (see the image below).
