Which Stencil Design Would You Prefer Us to Design: Chinoiserie or Lace
Hot Home Decor Trends, Chinoiserie and Lace Make Their Mark in Interior Design
Good Morning, all my stencil lovin' friends! Last week, we told you how Cutting Edge Stencils has been busy dreaming up our next stencil designs. And while, Janna, the mastermind behind our stencil designs, normally creates our pretty patterns; this time we're reaching out to our fabulous fans to find out which stencil designs you've been craving. Our last post took a look at Nautical and Big Floral designs. Today we're going to take a look at two popular home decor trends; chinoiserie designs and lace inspired designs. And after you've salivated over both gaw-geous patterns, let us know which you'd prefer more! Sound good? Great, sounds good to us! Let's get started...Chinoiserie Home Decor Trend
We love Chinoiserie decor. Why, you ask? Well, is there anything prettier? More playful or timeless? I think not! But wait, let's back up a step. Are you not quite sure what Chinoiserie is? It literally translates from French to "Chinese-esque and refers to a combination of Eastern and Western style elements. Think blue and white ceramics, glazed furniture and hand-painted wall hangings all embellished with whimsical design elements featuring nature, dragons, and Chinese architecture (such as pagodas). Now you know what we're talkin' about! Chinoiserie designs bring worldly sophistication to a space. Here are some chinoiserie inspired patterns to help you make your decision. As hopeless romantics, we just LOVE lace and lace inspired designs. Which is why we are weak in the knees when we heard that Elle Decor named lace as a design trend to watch for in 2013. They said, "Your grandmother's tablecloth is now hip." As lace graced the runways, it also made it's way into home decor. And one of the simplest and prettiest ways to add this home decor element to your space is with a wall stencil. Here are some lace inspired patterns to help you make your decision.
