We'd like to introduce Sarah, the creative DIYer behind the blog
I Am Hardware. Sarah decided to give her bedroom a makeover. She has been dreaming of a master bedroom that is super stylish. Here is a picture of her bedroom before its makeover.
Sarah's bedroom lacked pattern and personality. She had fallen in love with a grasscloth wallpaper but the price was way out of her budget. Wallpaper can also be a hassle to install. The great news is that stencils can achieve a wallpaper look and they are inexpensive. Sarah browsed our large collection of wall patterns in our online store and fell in love with the
Cascade Allover Stencil, a trendy Moroccan pattern.
Sarah's bedroom was already painted a creamy shade of beige. She decided to leave the beige and stencil the
Cascade Allover Stencil in white. She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place on the wall. Then she poured her paint into a small tray and painted with a dense foam roller. Sarah didn't use our
clip-on stencil level but we always suggest using it for a wall to help ensure your pattern is evenly placed on the wall.
After each section was painted, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition until the entire wall was painted.
Once the stencil was complete, Sarah stepped back to enjoy her DIY accomplishment. Are you ready to see how her stenciled bedroom turned out? Here it is!
Sarah instantly fell in love with her stenciled wall commenting, "The stencil wall in my bedroom is finished! Hooray! I loooooooooooove the result!" She then went on to add some brightly colored accent pillows and sliding barn doors.
Sarah mentions on her blog that her master bedroom is now her favorite space within her home. We can totally see why. It's stylish and filled to the brim with personality.
