A Roses Allover Stenciled Closet
Stencils Can Add A Pretty Pattern Inside Your Closet!
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! If opening your closet doors in the morning leaves you with a dreary feeling then we have the perfect DIY project for you! Now is the time to give your closet space a patterned makeover using wall stencils. Today we're hoping to inspire you to add pattern and color similar to this stenciled closet makeover using our Roses Allover pattern. Come take a look. We'd like to introduce Erinn, the creative DIYer behind the blog Strawberry Swing and Other Things. Erinn moved her daughter Ashlynn into a big girl room. She commented, "Her room is pretty simple and clean, Benjamin Moore Classic Gray on the walls, white furniture and bright purple bedding and details. Since she is three, I wanted to add something bright and fun without it being a giant Elsa Fathead." Erinn put her creative thinking cap on and decided that stenciling the closet with a pretty pattern would be the perfect way to add a touch of whimsical color. Erinn browsed our large collection of stencils online and then selected the Roses Allover Stencil, a modern flower wall pattern. Erinn got her paint supplies together for the project and then she watched our How To Stencil videos on our website. She chose to paint the fun floral pattern in Pantone's Radiant Orchid because the vibrant hue matched the bedding. Erinn used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place while she painted the pattern using a dense foam roller. After she painted one section, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition it to stencil a new section. She did this until the pattern was complete on the closet wall. Once the whole wall was stenciled, Erinn was ready to add some shelving that she had previously purchased at Ikea. It's perfect for holding books and small toys. To complete the space, she hung a decorate white mirror and a clothing bar. Ready to see how it all turned out? Isn't that such a fun pattern for a little girl's closet? We think so! Ok, now that you have fallen in love with Erinn's decorating style, be sure to check out her blog, Strawberry Swings and Other Things, to see her most recent DIY projects.
