One Stencil, One Home and Four Decor Projects), we took a look at how Gina used one stencil design to decorate her home four different ways. Well today, we have a slightly different twist on that concept. Are you ready to see how you can use stencils in multiple rooms of your home without creating a stenciling nightmare? Great, then let's begin!
We'd like to introduce you to Erin, the creative DIYer, design enthusiast, and frugalista all wrapped up into one great blog called
Suburban Bitches. Erin is a stay-at-home mom who is trying to juggle her three kids and her DIY projects to transform her home on a super-tight budget. She calls it the" Cadillac taste on a Pinto budget". Erin has also managed to use THREE of our stencils throughout her home in FOUR rooms! Yup, you read that right!
Zagora Stenciled Office
Her fab stenciling craze all began when she ordered the
Zagora Allover Stencil to create an accent wall in her office. Erin's office is a combination craft-room/office and nothing screams inspiration like a glittery gold pattern. Erin painted the wall in Benjamin Moore's Decorators Gray and then added the sparkly Moroccan design using a color similar to Martha Stewart Living Metallic Paint in Golden Pearl. Doesn't Erin's stenciled office look awesome? We think it does!
Zagora Stenciled Bathroom
Next up was the bathroom. Erin was feeling crafty and thrifty when she gave her bathroom a mini-makeover, because she reused her
Zagora Allover Stencil. First she painted the walls Martha Stewart Elderflower, a soft pink hue, and then she stenciled the beautiful Moroccan pattern in a semi-gloss white. The stencil in this space is soothing and subtle because of the low contrast colors she selected. We think it's so pretty!
Chevron Stenciled Bedroom
With two projects under her belt, it appears that the stenciling bug had bitten Erin. For her third stencil project, she decided to add the oh-so-popular Chevron stripe to her little girl's room. First she painted the walls in Skylight by Kwal Paint, a soft turquoise. Then using our
Chevron Allover Stencil, she stenciled the zippy stripe in white. Erin found this project to be easy peasy. In fact, she had the first wall completely stenciled in an hour and a half, so she painted the opposite wall as well.
We love the pretty pink accents against the soft turquoise zig-zag.
Birch Forest Stenciled Basement
Can you tell that Erin was on a stenciling roll? For her fourth stencil project, Erin chose her absolute favorite pattern, the
Birch Forest Stencil. She says, " It is perfect for bringing in that touch of nature to a room." The mudroom/entryway off the garage is the space she selected to stencil. Erin painted the wall
Sea Haze by Benjamin Moore, a cool gray color with blue undertones. Then she stenciled the woodsy pattern in Benjamin Moore's
Gray Mist. We love it!
PS. After her project was complete, she then went over to her neighbors house and used the
Birch Forest Stencil again to create an accent wall in the powder room. That crafty gal!
