Open Up A Narrow Hallway With Stencils

Stenciling A Hallway With The Birch Forest Stencil

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Is your white hallway a blank canvas waiting to be decorated? Hallway decorating doesn't need to be complex to be impactful. In fact, simply painting a wall stencil can magically transform the look and feel. For a longer hallway, choose a large-scale pattern to enhance the space. Today we're sharing a narrow hallway makeover using our Birch Forest Allover Stencil. Come take a look...

We'd like to introduce Sarah, a lifestyle and DIY blogger behind An Inviting Home. Sarah purchased our Birch Forest Allover Stencil after she spotted it on another blog. Sarah had a long narrow hallway on her second floor. She had considered creating a gallery wall but since the hallway was narrow and the kids tend to race through it, she felt it wasn't a good idea. That's when she decided to use her new wall stencil. Here is what her hallway looked like before the makeover. A hallway before its stenciled makeover. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/allover-stencil-birch-forest Sarah gave the hallway accent wall a fresh coat of white paint. On the opposite wall, she painted it a soothing shade of gray similar to what she planned to paint the stencil pattern. Then she was ready to start stenciling. She used blue painter's tape to hold the Birch Forest Allover Stencil. Sarah used the Clip-on Stencil level to ensure the pattern was placed evenly on the wall. Then she would reposition the stencil so she could continue the birch forest down the hall. She mentions in her blog, "As you come upstairs the outdoors are there to greet you. We wanted to keep this hallway wide open for kids to roam so using a wall stencil became the perfect solution for us."
