A Stenciled Accent Wall Featuring the Otomi Tribal Pattern

Good morning my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! It's true that a room can look stylish and elegant without an accent wall. But once you add a concentrated splash of color and pattern using wall stencils, you'll take the space to a bold new level with the ultimate WOW factor. A stenciled accent wall is the perfect way to add just the right amount of pattern, color and personality to any room. Today we have a fun stenciled accent wall featuring our trendy Otomi Allover Stencil and a stencil giveaway so keep reading! We'd like you to meet Bree, the DIY blogger behind Bumble Bree Blog. Bree and her husband have been living in their new house for about a year now and have recently started completing some DIY projects to help turn their house into a home. Bree wanted to make her home more unique and personalized. She said, "One way that we decided to create a unique look was to DIY a stenciled accent wall in our guestroom." After searching our wall stencils collection, she fell in love with a trendy tribal pattern, the Otomi Allover Stencil. The room was already painted a minty green hue when the couple moved in and they chose to keep it. To enhance the space, Bree decided to stencil the Otomi Allover Stencil pattern in Behr Semi-gross Supernova, a dark gray. She used blue painters tape to adhere her stencil to her accent wall. This worked best in keeping the large tribal pattern in place. Then she used a roller to paint the stencil pattern. She was careful not to load too much paint on her roller because this would have caused the design to bleed. Bree also found the Clip-on Stencil level to be really helpful in keeping the pattern straight on the wall. She commented, "I would also suggest using your Stencil Level, I super awesome and useful tool from Cutting Edge Stencils." Here she is working through the stenciling process.
