Sallie is well-known for designing interior spaces that infuse patterns and eye-catching color combinations. This time she was called in by a Client to give their living room a much needed makeover. Here is what the living room looked like before: A living room before its stenciled makeover. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/tea-house-trellis-allover-stencil-pattern This peachy pink living room was begging for a stylish makeover and Sallie was happy to oblige. She put together a design plan which included stylish furnishings, a neutral colored backdrop, and bold ceiling color with an oversized geometric pattern. While wallpapering a ceiling can be a great way to add visual interest to a space, it's expensive and a hassle to install. That's why stencils are a great alternative. Wall stencils are an easy and inexpensive way to update a space. Sallie browsed our website and selected the Tea House Allover Stencil Pattern. This large geometric pattern has an undeniable Eastern influence and is perfect for enhancing a lackluster ceiling. If you are recreating this project at home, use blue painter's tape to hold the geometric stencil in place and paint the pattern with a dense foam roller. This particular project features a glossy black hue painted over a flat black paint color. After each section was complete, simply untape the stencil and reposition to finish the pattern on the ceiling. For more information on how to stencil, please check out our stencil tutorials.
