A Sophia Trellis Allover Stenciled Bathroom Makeover

We'd like you to meet Theresa, a regular
Hometalk contributor and avid DIYer. Theresa was excited to participate in the Hometalk #Shareathon. The Hometalk #Shareathon provided their popular contributors with
wall stencils and challenged them to a DIY project that they would share with fans on the popular DIY site.
After careful consideration, Theresa decided her bathroom needed a bit of a pick-me-up. She said, "We wanted a more grown-up looking master bath, but this awkward wall had us stumped! It lacked serious character." Here is the bathroom before the makeover.
The good news is that stencils can add character to any space. She browsed the large selection of stencils online and fell in love with the
Sophia Trellis Allover Stencil, a popular Moroccan pattern.
The first thing Theresa did was install DIY board and batten on the bottom half of the bathroom wall. Then she painted it white.
Now she was ready to add some personality to the space using the
Sophia Trellis Allover Stencil.
Theresa used blue painter's tape to hold the stencil in place. Then she used a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. She was careful not to load too much paint on her roller because this would have caused the design to bleed. She also found the
Clip-on Stencil level to be really helpful in keeping the pattern straight on the wall.
After each section was finished, Theresa would un-tape the stencil and reposition to continue painting the pattern.
Once her entire bathroom was stenciled, Theresa was ready to share her project. Are you ready to see how it all turned out?
