We'd like to you to meet Kerry, the owner of an online shop called
Sweet Sanity that offers brides personalized and stylish details for a their special day. Kerry recently moved into a new home in Chicago and along with her new house comes new interior adventures. She had a small guest room that was painted bright blue. Kerry knew it needed a makeover and since it was small room she felt it was a great place to have a fun accent wall. She had always loved the look of
chinoiserie patterns because they are so traditional yet chic. Afraid of the commitment and expense of wallpaper, Kerry sought an alternative decorating option,
stenciling! She browsed our large collection of nature inspired
wall mural stencils and fell in love with the
Chinoiserie Birds and Berries Wall Mural Stencil, a majestic wall mural pattern inspired by a beautiful garden.
With her Birds and Berries Chinoiserie Panel in hand, she was ready to kick off her accent wall project! Kerry used blue painter's tape to hold the stencil in place while she painted the pattern using a dense foam roller.
She painted the
chinoisere wall pattern in Benjamin Moore's Key Largo Green 620.
For accent wall projects, we always recommend using the
clip-on stencil level. This handy tool is a great way to ensure the pattern was properly lined up on the wall.
