Stenciling A Peaceful Nursery
Decorate A Serene and Peaceful Nursery With Stencils
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Give your nursery the tranquil vibe that you desire with a subdued color palette and a pretty wall pattern. Stencils are the perfect way to add pattern to your nursery walls because they allow you to achieve a wallpaper look without the hassle and expense. Today we're going to share a soothing gray and white stenciled nursery that is sure to inspire. Come take a look... We'd like you to meet Juli, the loving Mama of an adorable baby girl named Charlotte and the creative blogger behind Jewels For Everything. Charlotte was her third child but Juli was more thrilled than ever to decorate. For her first two children, she was renting her home and she could not paint, wallpaper, or decorate the nursery the way she wanted. But with Baby Charlotte, she now owned her home and had free rein to decorate as she pleased. She started planning the nursery for her little bundle of joy. Juli envisioned a gray and white color palette with hints of petal pink. She commented, " I’m into conservative and classic decor – I wanted the room to feel peaceful and clean." With a color palette and design style in mind, Juli started putting together the rest of the pieces of her nursery. Her goal was to incorporate a subtle wall pattern into the space. To create the perfect nursery, she chose to paint an accent wall behind the crib. She selected our Moroccan Dream Allover Stencil a trendy Moroccan inspired wall pattern. She painted the wall in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter HC-172, a neutral gray hue. Then stenciled the eye-catching pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's Simply White OC-117. She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. After the walls were painted, Julie added some petal pink decor accessories. Are you ready for the big reveal? Here is Juli's peaceful nursery. Juli had this to say about her finished space, "Hubby and I had fun stenciling the wall. Then all we had to do was hang shelves and curtains!" She also mentioned, "We used this Moroccan Dream Allover Stencil on our wall, and it turned out so great! The stencil was very easy to use, and because the walls in that room were already painted a light grey, we used white to get the stencil design."
