Jaclyn and her husband purchased their first home about a year ago and have been decorating it with one DIY project at a time. Her goal is to go from room to room making their house feel like home. First stop was the master bedroom. She wanted to complete DIY projects that would give the plain beige room lots of personality. Here is the room she started with... A before shot of a bedroom where they later painted a stenciled acent wall. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/moroccan-stencil-marrakech It's pretty but it's missing something. Jaclyn fell in love with the look of patterned walls and knew it would be the perfect way to add personality to her space. She ordered our Marrakech Trellis Allover Stencil, but before she painted her bedroom wall she decided to test her stenciling capabilities in her walk-in closet. It's great to practice stenciling something and get the hang of the technique. She painted the Moroccan pattern using Benjamin Moore's Metallic Glaze in pearlescent white. Here is Jaclyn's stenciled closet: A DIY stenciled closet using the Marrakech Trellis Stencil. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/moroccan-stencil-marrakech Once she had the hang of it, she was ready to stencil her master bedroom. Jaclyn used blue painters tape to adhere her stencil to the wall. Then she used a foam roller to paint the stencil pattern. The walls were painted with a color similar to Benjamin Moore's elmira white HC-84 and she painted the stencil in the same color she used for the closet, Benjamin Moore's Metallic Glaze in pearlescent white.
