Stencils Enhance A Beautifully Decorated Entryway
Cutting Edge Stencils Shares a Zamira Allover Stenciled Entryway
Good morning, my DIY pals! Cutting Edge Stencils is wondering if you noticed anything as you were running out the door this morning? Shut the front door, did you just say your entryway was your last memory? It's often the case. The entryway is the first and last impression your house makes on a guest as they are walking through the door. Too bad it's also a space that is neglected in the decor process. We want to help you WOW your guests by enhancing your entryway using our stencils. Let's take a look at an awesome entryway makeover. We'd like you to meet Shelly, the furniture lover, designer, and upholsterer behind the blog ModHomeEc. She's amazing and if you've ever considered restoring or restyling an old piece of furniture then she's the gal you should be keeping an eye on! But today we're here to show you how she jazzed up her front hallway using our stencils. Shelly fell in love with this look that she spotted in an issue of Canadian House and Home magazine. The patterned entryway had her at hello. Armed with inspiration, Shelly initially planned to wallpaper her entryway but that specific wallpaper turned out to be difficult to find and expensive. After purchasing two sample swatches, the design turned out to be too large for her short stretch of wall. Shelly knew if was time to move onto plan B. She reached out to her friend and former upholstery boot camp phenom, Jennifer Johnson Ottinger, who offered up wall stencils as an alternative. Soon after, Shelly selected our Zamira Allover Stencil pattern because of its popular Moroccan vibe. For her stencil project, she used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and a dense foam roller to paint the intricate pattern. Since her wall was already painted in a medium tone gray, similar to Benjamin Moore's cape may cobblestone 1474, she stenciled the lovely design in a white, similar to Benjamin Moore's winter white 2140-70. Here she is working through the stencil process. Once the stenciling was complete, Shelly added a beautiful little bench/table and decorative mirror to accentuate the space. Ready to see the fully decorated entryway? Here it is... And here's a close-up of the gorgeous stencil work. We think it's stylish and sophisticated!
