A Stenciled Foyer Featuring the Chain Link Allover Stencil

Good morning, my DIY pals! Are you looking to add vigor to your vestibule or fizz to your foyer? Since the foyer is the first and last impression your home will make on a guest, you'll want it to be a memorable one. And that's where we step in! Cutting Edge Stencils is here to help you WOW your guests by adding some stencil style. Let's take a look at an awesome foyer makeover. We'd like you to meet Amy, the designer and fabulous DIY crafter behind the blog Amy Spencer Interiors. Amy decided it was time for a foyer makeover. While there was nothing wrong with the space, it lacked the pattern and personality that she desired. Take a look for yourself... The first thing Amy did was liven up the walls with a fresh coat of paint using Sherwin Williams Antique White Paint. Then it was time to add some pattern. Amy selected our Chain Link Allover Stencil pattern because of its modern design. She said, "The contemporary design was used to counter the very traditional furniture and accessories. Using it on all four walls gives the look of wallpaper without the expense of wallpaper." For her stencil project, Amy used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and a dense foam roller to paint the intricate pattern. She stenciled the lovely geometric design in a black, similar to Benjamin Moore's ebony king 2132-20 Here she is working through the stencil process. Once the stenciling was complete, Amy added a mirror that was rumored to have hung in the S.C. Governor’s Mansion, a half moon table that was purchased at an auction, and a 6×9 jute rug from World Market. Ready to see the newly decorated foyer? Here it is... Amy purchased it for a steal on Ebay and then spray painted it blue! Amy says, "Now the foyer is warm and welcoming and gives a beautiful impact when walking into the home."
