Wall Stencils Can Help Make Home Decorating Easy

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Stop dreaming of a bedroom makeover and take action! Simply infuse it with color and a sophisticated stencil design for a whole new look. Give your tired looking space a fresh new look using a stencil pattern and a bold colored hue. Today we’re going to share a budget friendly bedroom makeover that was spruced up with our Pearl Allover Stencil. Come take a look... We'd like to introduce Maggie B., a creative DIYer and Cutting Edge Stencils fan from Winnipeg, Canada. Maggie wanted to give her dull master bedroom a fresh new look. Here is what it looked like before. It's a cute space with neutral colors and subtle patterns but Maggie wanted to bring it to life. The pattern on the wall is actually wallpaper. It's a hassle to put up and even more annoying to take down. Maggie called in her minis to help remove it. She knew she didn't want wallpaper again but she wanted an accent wall behind her bed so she decided to use a wall stencil to achieve a wallpaper look. Maggie browsed our large collection of stencil patterns and selected the Pearl Allover Pattern. This beautiful pattern was designed by our friend, and fellow artist Kathy Boyd. This elegant stencil pattern, with its vertical flowing strings of pearls, can bring sophisticated to any space. The first thing Maggie did was paint her accent wall Lakemont Blue using Behr paint. This bold teal hue instantly infused her bedroom with color. With her stencil in hand, she was ready to start stenciling! She used painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern in a metallic silver. If you are recreating this project at home, be sure to off load your roller on a piece of paper towel. Too much paint will cause the stencil to bleed. After each section was complete, Maggie would un-tape the stencil and reposition it so she could paint the entire accent wall. Once the wall was complete, she stepped back to admire her beautiful project. Fresh new bedding and rearranged decor made this bedroom look like a whole new space! She said, " Thank you! The stencil was amazing. Great quality product. Everyone loves it." We think she did an amazing job transforming this bedroom using a stencil and paint. Don't you agree?
