I want you meet Emily , the DIY creative mastermind behind the blog
52 Mantels. Not too long ago, Emily decided her hallway needed a change. It was dark and after three years, she just couldn't take it anymore. She started the hallway makeover by adding some diy board and batton to the bottom part of the wall in a bright white. On the top half of the wall she selected the
Mermaid Allover Stencil. She painted the stencil in colors similar to Benjamin Moore's
revere pewter HC-172 and
snowfall white OC-118. Emily gives some fab stenciling tips on her

Next I want to introduce Stacy, the queen of DIY and blogger behind Beefore and After. She had pretty much painted every nook and cranny in their house with the exception of their hallway. Stacy knew she wanted her hallway to have a little pizzaz so decided to stencil it with the
Zamira Allover Stencil. She had selected this stencil because she felt it was both "modern and classic". Next Stacy selected a complimentary paint color based on the rooms that the hallway linked. She landed on Benjamin Moore’s
cream fleece 233 as the base wall color and
winter wheat 232 as the stencil color. After completing her stencil project Stacy says, "I could stare at it for hours. Somehow the hallway seems wider and longer now. And much, much better looking." And we can't argue with that! We love how she transformed her hallway with a stencil, don't you?!
