Happy Friday, my little DIY party planners! Is everyone excited for the long weekend that acts as the kick-off for S-U-M-M-E-R?! Can you tell we here at Cutting Edge Stencils is a wee bit excited? So let me see a raise of hands of those of you that have some sort of summer bash planned? Of course you do! And you've probably been pinning all your fabulous diy party deets like the shark shaped watermelon and fun photo area. Don't stress, cause your party is gonna be a huge success especially your fun photo area. Why? Because we're here to give you a stencil-rific party idea that will make your photo area a one of a kind! We want you to consider using our stencils to create your own photo backdrop! I want you meet Heidi, the crafty blogger behind Sew.Craft.Create. Originally, Heidi was thinking about creating her own shower curtain for her upstairs bathroom. She grabbed an old white sheet and start stenciling using the Chevron Stencil. Once she finished, she took a step back and her clever crafty wheels clicked. Rather than hide this gorgeous Chevron striped sheet in the bathroom, Heidi decided it would make a much more fun photography backdrop for her sister's baby shower. Afterall who doesn't love a party photo area! Can you say, "Strike a Pose?" The party animals here at Cutting Edge Stencils can and we think this is just a FAB idea! Here is what she came up with... A stunning and trendy photo backdrop! The best part about this is that it was inexpensive and super easy so even a first time stenciler could complete a project like this!

Here's what you need to make your own...

• White Drop Cloth
• Chevron Allover Stencil
• Foam paint roller
• Paint
• Painters Tape

She has an awesome memory maker! Or if bold is more your style then you'll love the idea of this high contrasting black and white Scalloped Stenciled backdrop painted by SU NA Photography. And all my mommy stencilers are going to LOVE this one! Monthly photos are all the rage. Instead of taking your little caboodle to an expensive photography studio where you have to wait for hours, why not create your own. Audrie created this beaut using the Boucle Allover Stencil in a muted red and cream color combination. Totally Adorbs!
