Add Drama To Your Craft Space With A Stencil
A Stenciled Craft Room Makeover Using Geometric Stencils
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Is your craft space a pile of stress and ribbons, devoid of inspiration? Yikes! If it is, then you better keep reading. Paint and stencil patterns can easily uplift your space without breaking the bank. Today we're sharing a craft room makeover using one of our allover stencils. Come take a look... We'd like you to welcome Tiffany, the creative DIYer and blogger behind Worthwhile Domicile. Tiffany has been working on making her house a home with one DIY project at a time. She had a space in her home that she planned to turn into a craft/office area. Here is what the space looked like after it was painted with primer. A white room is like a blank slate with thousands of possibilities. Tiffany browsed Pinterest and found her inspiration. It was a yellow and white space with bold splashes of color. Tiffany loved the idea of adding a wall pattern but commented, " I don't want to spend a ton on wallpaper."Lucky for her we have a stencil that looks super similar to this popular wallpaper. Stencil patterns are often chosen over wallpaper because they are less expensive and much easier to apply to the wall. She browsed our website and landed on the Trellis Allover Stencil. This beautiful allover pattern can flatter any space!
Tiffany primed and painted the craft/office space in a shade of white. With her stencil in hand, she was ready to start her project. She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place on the wall. We always suggest using the clip-on stencil level to ensure the pattern was evenly placed on the wall. Then she poured her paint into a small tray and painted with a dense foam roller.
After each stencil design was painted, Tiffany would un-tape the stencil and reposition it until her wall was painted. She wanted her pattern to mimic wallpaper so she stenciled the entire room. Once the stencil was complete, Tiffany stepped back to admire her handiwork.
Tiffany refinished the floors and added some white cabinetry to hold her crafting supplies.
For pops of color she chose a fabric that had a bold floral pattern. She used it to make a cushion for the window seat and curtains.
