Good morning, my DIY friends. Just because you're a renter doesn't mean you need to toss your decorating dreams aside but you may have to adjust them. If you've been lusting after a wall pattern but stenciled walls are not in your renter's agreement then Cutting Edge Stencils, has the perfect solution for you! We'd love for you to consider painting your own custom wall art using one of our stencil designs. Jess, the decor enthusiast behind the blog Domicile 37, decided to create wall art using the Charlotte Stencil. Let's take a look and be sure to read to the end to see how you can enter to win a free wall stencil. Jess fell in love with the idea of stenciling but since she's a renter she knew that her wall pattern had to be something that could easily be removed. She chose to stencil a piece of canvas art. First she grabbed a left over piece of hardboard and painted it using Valspar White Enamel. Once the paint was dry, she was ready to start stenciling. Jess fell in love with the Charlotte Allover Stencil, a lace-inspired wall pattern. This beautiful and intricate wall design is perfect for accent wall and DIY decorating projects like canvas art. She said, "I love gold as an accent color, so I did this step using Martha Stewart craft paint in yellow gold and Valspar Du Jour paint with a satin finish." If you are recreating this project at home, we always suggest using very little paint on your stencil brush or roller. Too much paint will cause it to bleed under the stencil.
