Decorating a Bedroom on a Budget with DIY Stencils!
Cutting Edge Stencils helps DIYers Transform a Room on a Budget
Room decorating ideas on a budget are not difficult to achieve thanks to
wall stencils from
Cutting Edge Stencils! Taryn, a
DIYer from the blog
Design, Dining and Diapers, completely revamped her bedroom starting with our
Fuji Allover stencil pattern, which helped her create
decorative walls! Taryn's
design idea was to achieve a
Mid Century Modern look without breaking the bank.
Wall Stencils
The tan/gray paint that Taryn used as the base color before she
stenciled is called
Cosmopolitan by
Benjamine Moore Color Stories! The room was then painted with
Cutting Edge Stencils'
Fuji Allover stencil design, which retails at only $39.95, and
white acrylic Paint by DecoArt!
Stencils for walls are a cheaper and easier way to create the look of wallpaper!
Home Decor
To pull the room together, Taryn decided to accent her
home decor with gold spray paint. Here is a list of some of those
budgeted accessories:
1. IKEA lamps for $30 each
2. Frames from Ben Franklin Craft Store for $45 total
3. Old pillow case
A TIP FROM TARYN: In her view, acrylic paint works much better than latex paint for the stencil. She says it goes on much smoother and doesn’t bleed as much.
