Simple Yet Sophisticated Chalkboard Projects Using Stencils

Good morning, my DIY friends. Chalkboards are not just for the classroom anymore. In fact, did you know Cutting Edge Stencils, launched a whole line of Chalkboard Stencils? Oh and the possibilities are endless because the chalkboard can be used as a calendar, menu, or inspiration message area! Today we're going to share two chalkboard projects featuring our stencils. Classy Frame Chalkboard Stencil Meet Valerie, the clever crafter behind the blog Occasionally Crafty. Valerie's kids get out of school next week and while she's super excited to spend more time with them, she's also dreading the "Can we do something fun today?"questions. She typically keeps things low key in the Summer and doesn't always plan ahead so getting out the door for an activity can be a challenge. Rather than waste her days away, Valerie's goal this year is to plan activities ahead of time. To keep herself organized and the kids happy, she decided she needed a chalkboard activity list. Valerie fell in love with our Classy Frame Chalkboard Stencil and decided to paint it at the end of her hallway so the kiddos could clearly see what was lined up for the week. She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the chalkboard paint with a dense foam roller. Then she filled in her weekly activities using a chalk pen. Lindsay has been giving her daughter's room a makeover. They recently installed a small door over the top portion of her closet. Because of the sliding door, she's unable to find something to fit in the awkward space on the left hand side. That's when she stumbled upon our chalkdboard stencils. These creative stencil shapes would allow her to post cute messages to her daughter and fill her decorative need. Perfecto! Lindsay selected the Delicata Chalkboard Stencil.
