Paint-A-Pillow Is A Fun Craft For A Painting Party
How to Host A Painting Party Using Paint-A-Pillow
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Chances are that you know someone who has attended a painting party and posted cheerful pictures announcing how much fun they had. Painting Parties are a social rage right now. From a night out with the girls to celebrating a birthday, these crafty gatherings seem to please all. The best part is that yo
u don't have to be an artist to enjoy and everyone leaves with a smile on her face. So if you've been considering joining the crafty fun but the idea of painting a canvas doesn't appeal to you then we have the perfect project in mind! Paint-A-Pillow is a fun way to get friends together to eat, gab, and craft some accent pillows. Using the Paint-A-Pillow party pack, you can host your own gathering with friends or even start your own mini-painting party business.
We'd like to introduce Kristin Smith and Heather Thomin from
BB Frosch. Kristin and Heather love hosting DIY chalk paint workshops so when we introduced them to Paint-A-Pillow it was love at first sight. That's when they decided to host their own party. The first thing they did was get their pal,
Salty Bison, to assist in the event. She has a great loft space in Lehi, UT which was perfect for crafting. After a date was selected, they were ready to socialize.
Soon enough they had about 24 people signed up to attend their special event. Each one of the attendees was asked to visit the Paint-A-Pillow website (
www.paintapillow.com) to select their stencil pattern, type of cover, and paint color.
The night of the event, Kristin and Heather set up work stations so that people could work in small groups. They provided sweet treats from a local bakery,
Lemonade Kitchen.
Once they got all of the attendees started on their project, they circulated around the room to answer questions and assist. Most attendees used the dense foam roller included in the kit to paint the pillow pattern.
As the two hour event came to an end, guests were happily showing off their DIY accent pillows.
There was even some time to squeak in stenciling a fun tote bag. Our Paint-A-Pillow kits can be used to stencil a tote like this
Birch Forest example.
Here is a fun video that shows Salty Bison stenciling a DIY accent pillow!
