Four Stenciled Craft Projects Featuring an Unexpected Pattern

Good morning, my pattern lovers! Have you ever walked into someone's home and were hit by a pretty pattern in an unexpected place? It can be awe-inspiring, especially to the pattern lovers at Cutting Edge Stencils. We love the wow factor of turning a corner and seeing a stenciled wall that just grabs the eye's attention. Or better yet, opening a dresser drawer that has a fun design painted on the inside. To us, it's design eye-candy and we just can't get enough. After all doesn't every space deserve a stenciled splash somewhere? We've rounded up some of our favorite unexpected places to bump into a stenciled pattern. Let's go check out these awesome stenciled DIY projects...

Imagine you open up your refrigerator and BAM! Staring back at you is a gorgeous blue chevron stripe. Would you be tempted to visit the fridge more often? We sure would! A project like this is simple and yet the impact is huge. Take the lead from the Sweet Haute, who used fancied up placemats and a design similar to our Chevron Craft Stencil to give her refrigerator a striped makeover. You could also get this look by stenciling on contact paper. Do you love a surprise POP of pattern and color? Then imagine the excitement you would get every time you opened the drawers on this blue-tiful vanity! Lori from the Vintage Charm Restored painted an old vanity using a cool aqua hue from Maison Blanche Paint. Then she stenciled a striped surprise on the inside of the drawers and under the desk using a stencil that is similar to our Herringbone design. We just love it! We're pretty sure everyday would be a glorious day if we had a lovely armoire just like the one below! As if its eye-catching red hue doesn't already scream happiness, then just open up its doors for a patterned surprise. We found this gorgeous piece via Sophie, the Thrifting Girl. To get a similar look we would recommend stenciling our Verde Damask pattern in Benjamin Moore's soft chincilla 2135-50 and chantilly lace OC-65. We are in LOVE! Here's a stencil project that will have your guests oohing and aahing over your dinner table (and not because of your food)! Jeanie, one of our fab fans, stenciled the Marrakech Trellis Craft stencil on the sides of her table and the tops of chairs. We think it's absolutely stunning! And there you have it folks!
