Hot New Trend, Floral Patterns Are Blossoming In Home Decor

Cutting Edge Stencils has been busy bees spotting some new home decor trends and are super excited to share what we've been seeing.
Not too long ago, we all saw big, vivacious floral prints gracing the Spring 2013 runways from some of our favorite designers like Paul & Joe, Ralph Lauren, and Preen. These images were taken from
Elle.com. They're so purrty, right?
Well it didn't take long for these airy, romantic, and feminine, floral accents to start popping up in home decor, too. It seems as though when Spring hit, these flowers burst into full bloom on the season’s prettiest home decor designs, from delicately painted tableware to boldly patterned textiles and even walls! And this is where we step in my stencil friends! We are all about helping your give your home a Spring facelift without breaking the bank.
Today we're going to walk through some quick and easy ways that you can introduce the floral phenomenon into your home using our
Floral Stencils...
The most simple way to introduce florals is by stenciling a floral pattern on an accessory within your home like your fabric curtains, throw pillows, and even your living room area rug! Here is a gorgeous example done by Kristi at
Lolly Jane. Kristi used the
Julia Allover Stencil in a neutral gray and a pop of turquoise. Kristi says, "I instantly recognized how much warmer the space is." And it's true, a floral pattern can add warmth to create a cozy setting.
It's quite possible you need to ease yourself into this trend and if that's the case we completely understand. Adding a painted floral canvas is the perfect way to figure out if you like the look or not. Take this
Zinnia Grande stenciled wall decor as a stunning example.
Sarah Ortega painted the stencil in a deep navy blue over a white canvas to add instant (but changeable) eye-appeal to her nursery.
Do we have you loving florals, yet? We knew you would! So if you ready to embrace the trend as much as we are then you're gonna love the idea of embellishing your walls with
floral allover stencils. Aside from this trend looking good ALLOVER, it screams sophistication in both bold and subtle colors! Paint a floral stencil in a neutral beige and grey tone for a subtle yet sophisticated look.
