We hope to make your gift giving season a little less stressful and provide inspiration to help brighten your home for the holidays. Are you ready to see how you can transform a ho-hum gift into a handmade from the heart present? Ok, then let's get started!
Today's project of the day is a Stenciled Tote Bag.
We'd like you to meet Kristina, the crafty DIYer behind the blog ReMade Simple. Kristina created the perfect gift for a farmer's market shopper! She bought a simple, plain canvas tote. We've spotted these types of totes at the local craft store. Then Kristina gave it a fashionable makeover using our Nagoya medium craft sized stencil and various colors of DecoArt SoSoft fabric paint. She loves the fact that the stenciled tote looks fabulous and is green all at the same time! We think it's adorable, don't YOU?
We can't stop oohing and aahing over the next stenciled tote bag! This is the perfect gift for that stylish gal pal in your life. Larissa, the crafty DIYer from the blog Just Another Day in Paradise, stenciled a fabulous looking tote using our Zamira Craft Stencil (medium). She purchased duck cloth fabric from her local craft store and then painted the intricate Moroccan pattern using Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint. Several snips and stitches later she had this totally chic stenciled tote bag. For the detailed tutorial, check out her blog.
If finding a teacher's gift has you stumped then you're going to LOVE this craft idea! Meet Amy, the creative blogger behind The Peppy Strawberry. Amy was searching for the perfect gift for her daughter's teacher. She stumbled upon plain totes at a local store and knew they would be perfect for carrying paperwork, lesson plans, and other school related items. Amy decided to pretty up the boring tote bag using a pattern similar to our Polka Dot Allover stencil and craft paint. For the finishing touch, she added the teacher's initial and an adorable thank you tag. We think that C could stand for Craft-tastic because we love this! And last but not least, we'd like you to see what Amy the crafty blogger behind One Artsy Mama has been up to! She had a basic black tote just laying around. Using our Casablanca Craft Stencil and shimmery craft paint, she created this cutie. Way to go, Amy!
