Stylish DIY Curtains Using the Sari Paisley Stencil
Stencils Can Spruce Up Plain Window Treatments
Good morning, my stenciling friends! Cutting Edge Stencils feels that window treatments truly complete the look of a room and yet we know they can be costly to purchase. Rather than get hung up on those designer price tags, we have the perfect stencil idea. To help complete your room with the designer look you desire for a fraction of the price, we'd love for you to consider using stencils. Let's take a look at how one of our favorite bloggers used a stencil pattern to enhance her plain white Ikea curtains.

We'd like to welcome back Amy, the home decor enthusiast and DIYer behind the blog Amy's Casablanca. She's been working on giving her bedroom a makeover with one DIY project at a time. Here is a shot of her master bedroom before she completed the sitting area.

And here is the after:

Gorgeous! First, Amy hung a dark espresso colored chandelier to add an elegant touch. Then she purchased new white chairs and a natural wood tone table for her seating area. And because no space is complete without the perfect set of window treatments, Amy decided to change the curtains for something a little lighter. This DIYer and avid stenciler chose to stencil her own custom set of curtains. She purchased simple white
Merete panels ($29.99 per pair) from Ikea and our medium
Sari Paisley Stencil. She used blue painters tape to position the stencil on the panel and then painted the design using a
dense foam roller.

Once they were complete, she ironed them and hung them up. Amy commented, "It was a quick and easy project!" Let's take another look at her pretty sitting area.
