As far as using
painting stencils on larger room rugs, we've found that using our
Geometric/Allover stencils work wonderfully! The customer projects pictured on this post display our
Houndstooth Allover Stencil as well as our
Shipibo Allover Stencil, and they look fabulous!
Also, use super contrasting colors to make the
pattern of the stencil stand out! The paint colors used may also look great when tied in to the colors of some of your other
home decor. If you have beige lamp shades, green curtains, and dark brown furniture, carry that rustic palette over onto the
paint colors of your throw rug design to tie everything together!
If you're feeling daring, you might even want to use a striking color that doesn't exist in your room to paint the rug with! A bright
PURPLE and black rug may look very chic in a room otherwise only featuring a black and white color scheme.
