Stenciling A Cement Floor With A Moroccan Pattern

A Stenciled Cement Floor Rocks This Laundry Room Remodel

Good morning, my DIY friends. We're willing to make a bet that you'd agree that concrete and cement floors can be drab. We, at Cutting Edge Stencils, feel these bare floors can be greatly enhanced by spicing them up with color or a stencil pattern! Ashley, the DIY queen behind the blog Domestic Imperfection, decided to tackle the painting and stenciling of a cement floor and we've got the all the stencilicious details for you! Let's take a look... Her friend Abby owns a tiny farmhouse that she is renovating to make her forever home. The new house is spacious and gorgeous with the exception of the laundry room floor. Here is a peek at the laundry room before its remodel. Since it was in good shape, they decided to leave its natural color as the base coat. Ashely and Abby decided to stencil a runner shaped pattern across the floor rather then stencil from wall to wall because the trim was already installed. The first thing they did was tape off a section they wanted to stencil using ScotchBlue painters tape. Ashley selected our Moroccan Tiles Allover Stencil, a popular Moroccan pattern. She started painting the pretty pattern using Sherwin Williams Porch and Floor Enamel and a dense foam roller.
