Good morning, my DIY mamas! Not everyone loves pastel colored flowers or primary colored trucks. It's ok to admit it's just not your thing. The nursery doesn't have to be designs just for the baby. It's perfectly acceptable if the baby's room reflects a little (or a lot) of your design aesthetic and personality. Today, Cutting Edge Stencils is sharing a sophisticated seafoam and gold nursery idea with aKuba Chevron stenciled accent wall. It's sophisticated, soothing, and contains stylish accessories! We'd like you to meet Lauren , the proud mama to baby Oliver and decorating enthusiast behind LRD Designs. Lauren was super excited when she found out she was expecting her first baby boy and jumped right into planning the nursery. The first thing she did was put together this nursery design board. Peaceful, serene, and yet loaded with style! Once the nursery design was planned out, she was ready to start painting. Since the walls were already painted white, she decided to add a splash of color and pattern. She selected our Kuba Chevron Allover stencil pattern and Sherwin William's quietude. She planned to pair the zippy wall pattern with a seafoam green grasscloth wall covering. Laurent wanted a nursery that was packed with style and sophistication. Here is a shot of her stenciled space. Once the chevron-inspired stencil was complete, she was ready to accessorize. And what would compliment this space better than some gorgeous gold accents? Lauren says, "And of course some gold accents, because every baby needs some gold in their lives." Lauren added a brass himmeli mobile and a pattern-filled window valence to the nursery. To complete the look of her space she hung large faux taxidermy animal inside vintage frames. She purchased the white quirky animals from an Etsy shop called Mahzerandvee.
