Cityline TV Talks: Stenciling a Bathroom Wall

Wall Stencils are Such a DIYers Sport--Just Ask Cityline TV

Cityline TV joins forces with Cutting Edge Stencils to create the perfect DIY bathroom! Ever scour Pinterest to find the best DIY project only to figure out you certainly CANNOT DIY, and those people who posted those projects have some crazy craft capability that you sure as hell were not born with? Cutting Edge Stencils products are NOT that kind of project! Not only are our DIY stencils inexpensive, but you do not need any innate creative ability to use them successfully! Because of the ingeniousness of Cutting Edge Stencils' products, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault (Colour & design representative, Benjamin Moore and Guest Expert, Cityline TV) used our Zamira Allover Stencil to help remodel her bathroom! Check out this stencil on an episode of CityLine TV (click to view), in which Leigh-Ann raves about the ease of stenciling your walls with Cutting Edge Stencils' products! Here's a sneak peak pic: Leigh-Ann stencils her Zamira stencil on Cityline TV! But, don't forget to watch the step-by-step tutorial video on how she remodeled her whole bathroom! Leigh-Ann swears, "Any DIYer can do it!" And here's how!: Aside from the stencil design, Leigh-Ann wanted to add a quick molding to give the wall even more dimension and structure! So, her first step was to mark off the edges of where the stencil would go with a piece of chalk and a ruler. Step number two was to tape off the soon-to-be stenciled area and lightly layer the back of the stencil with spray adhesive so that it would stick securely to the wall in the taped off area. Step three involved using a foam roller to apply the Stays Clear paint in high gloss onto the stencil pattern. After stenciling, remove the pattern from the wall, allow some time for the paint to dry and then repeat until the inner panel of the wall is covered in the Zamira design! The finishing touch is to add the molding! Cut 4 pieces of wood trim to fit your marked off area, and then apply them to the wall using "No Nails” adhesive. Insert finishing nails with a hammer and nail set every 16” along the trim to prevent warping. We were so excited to have been featured on Cityline!
