DIY Magazine Has A Stencil Crush
Cutting Edge Stencils is featured in Do It Yourself Magazine!
Happy Hump Day, my DIY friends! This week has been on the up and up for
Cutting Edge Stencils. First we launched a whole new set of gorgeous
stencil designs and now we've spotted our fab stencil patterns gracing the pages of
DIY Magazine! The Spring 2014 issue features not one, not two, but THREE very versatile stencils: the
Trellis Allover,
Moroccan Tiles, and
Indian Inlay! We are super excited about our stenciled attention. We've had a chance to check out
DIY Magazine and we can't wait to tell you the 411 on what they've said about us this time!
Trellis Stenciled Curtains and Cornice
We love a good stencil treasure hunt and
DIY Magazine doesn't fail to please! The publication met with Kristin Jackson, the clever DIY blogger behind
The Hunted Interior. Kristin, a former interior designer for high-end hotels, believes that mixing roadside castoffs, thrift store finds and DIY projects is the way to give a home a layered designer look. Within the section titled, Treasure Hunt, it's evident that she lives by her words as she walks the readers through her design choices and beautiful home. We went on a little stencil hunt and spotted our
Trellis Allover pattern on her kitchen curtains and cornice. Kristin spills the beans that her designer looking kitchen curtains are actually cheap drop cloths stenciled with the trellis pattern in a soothing gray hue. To complete the look of the kitchen, she stenciled another drop cloth and stapled it over a plywood box to create her window cornice. A stenciled stunner for sure!
Moroccan Tiles Stenciled Floor
Does your hallway need some spicing up these days? Then
DIY Magazine has an idea for you! They treated a ho-hum hallway to a Moroccan makeover using our
Moroccan Tiles stencil and exuberant color to create a tiled floor effect. The detailed how-to can be found on page 67. We're in awe, aren't you?
Indian Inlay Stenciled Flower Pot
We might still be defrosting from the negative temps here in Northern New Jersey but it's never to early to think about Spring.
DIY Magazine sets the tone with their bold, graphic planters in the feature, Body Art In Bloom. We fancy the pretty planter shown on page 97 that uses our
Indian Inlay Stencil Kit. The publication notes, that "stencils ease the process and enable more exotic effects as well as customized designs." We can't disagree with that!
We told you these stencil projects were pretty AH-Mazing! To check out all their crush-worthy DIY ideas, make sure you grab your own copy of the
Do It Yourself Magazine Spring 2014.
