Four Men One Lady Blog Feature
This stunning makeover by
4 Men 1 Lady blog was one of the first where we saw one of our
stencils done on a ceiling. It really is such an elegant and perfect look for a bathroom redo. In Michelle's words, "I Stenciled the ceiling with this great
trellis pattern and added crown molding. It is one of
Cutting Edge Stencils' newest patterns. That was a task! I had silver paint in my hair for days after I finished this because I sponged it rather than rolled it on." If you weren't planning on adding silver highlights to your hair like Michelle, you may want to try to
purchase a dense foam roller instead of the sponge brush. It may also make the project a bit faster.
From Plain to Stunning Stenciled Ceiling
Michelle added ceiling trim in her bathroom which gives any room a bit of extra detail and elegance. Adding trim is a great way to create a classy transition between a stenciled ceiling and a painted wall. Well done Michelle! Doesn't the
Trellis Allover stencil look stunning?
The Final Look
This room makeover has been one of our most popular and inspiring over the years. In a small bathroom space like Michelle's, stenciling the ceiling is such a great option. Also, stenciling a ceiling is not the easiest
DIY paint project, so choosing to do so in a small room like a bathroom, isn't as much of a pain in the neck (hehe).
If you are having trouble choosing which
stencil pattern to purchase, here are a few suggestions:
- If you don't want a "directional" stencil, choose a detailed pattern that has a less obvious direction than our Damask stencils for example. The Zamira Allover stencil, Casablanca stencil, Rabat Allover and any similar designs are great.
- If you want to go for something a little bit faster and easier, try a wall art stencil like any of our flower stencils for a simple feminine look.
- If you are looking for a design that clearly had a top and bottom, your best bet would be to buy a damask stencil.
