HGTV Magazine Showcases Cutting Edge Stencils

Stencils Galore featured in HGTV Magazine's September Issue!

Happy Hump Day, my home decor loving friends! We're beginning to think HGTV Magazine is a little stencil smitten for Cutting Edge Stencils; and we've got to say, we certainly do not mind the recent attention! It feels like it was only yesterday that we were giddy with glee over our Zamira Stencil and then our Trellis Allover Stencil being featured in the new HGTV series Power Broker. We were barely coming off our stunning stencil high when we opened the September issue of HGTV Magazine to find not one but TWO of our very versatile stencils: the Herringbone Allover and Indian Inlay Furniture Stencil Kit! Their September issue is just packed to the brim with awesome DIY projects that are easy and affordable. Now we've managed to put this issue down just long enough to come give you the 411 on what they've said about us this time! It sure does! That's because we posted it on our blog back in February! Kelli, the diy superstar behind the blog Lolly Jane, shared her gorgeous craft room makeover with us and were WOW'd by this bookcase makeover from the start! In the magazine she notes that she used the herringbone pattern and yellow paint (Jackson Square by Valspar) to give the back of the shelves a little POP. Then she styled them with mason jars, vintage suitcases, and woo crates filled with craft supplies. We'd say this craft room makeover is CRAFT-tastic! We love this section because it takes everyday castoff items and turns them into pretty pieces that you can love and actually use. This blah wooden table is the perfect example of taking an old piece of furniture and giving it a new fancy inlaid look. First the table was painted in a cheerful, optimistic shade of green (Par Three by Mythic Paint). Then the Indian Inlay Furniture Stencil Kit , which comes in five pieces, was applied using our Martha Stewart Crafts pearl acrylic paint in Mother of Pearl. And BAM just like that this table was transformed! We're in awe, aren't you?
