Home Decorating Idea: Stenciled Wall Art Pieces
Create Your Own Wall Art Pieces with Cutting Edge Stencils!
We know what you've been thinking, and why you haven't used
Cutting Edge Stencils in your home yet. Does your reasoning sound something like this: "Stenciling a wall is too big of a job for little ole me," or, "Painting my walls is too much of a commitment." Well, luckily there is a home decorating idea for those of us DIYers that don't always necessarily "think big," because sometimes thinking small and simple can pay off in the long run! Stenciling wall art pieces can be just your ticket to fun stenciled walls without the hard work and obligation! After all, some things in life are just meant to be commitment free, so why not make
stencils one of them!
Acacia Stenciled Wall Art
Cheri, from the blog
I Am Momma Hear Me Roar, stenciled this wood wall art piece with our
Acacia Allover Stencil. She ended up placing the stenciled art within her sister's master bedroom, but it can be moved at any time into any room (that's the beauty of this artwork)! We also love the way the one yellow accenting flower matches a piece of her decor! Cheri got her thin wood sheet from Home Depot, and actually painted her blank canvas using latex spray paint! The yellow flower was hand painted in mustard and then outlined with a black sharpie to get crisp lines!
Casablanca Stenciled Wall Art
Heather, from the blog
At the Picket Fence, stenciled this duo of canvases with Cutting Edge Stencils
Casablanca Allover Stencil! She purchased the two square art canvases from Hobby Lobby, painted them with blue and orange paint, and hung them in her powder room for a little added flair! Our dense foam roller was used to apply the blue paint, and Heather used a small round foam brush to apply the Tangerine paint. To finish it off, Heather painted the borders orange, and created her own custom artwork! So cute!
Benjamin Moore Creates Stenciled Canvases
Sharon Grech, from Benjamin Moore's Color Chats, stenciled a few outdoor canvases with our
Chrysanthemum Grande and
Lotus Grande Stencils! These pretty canvases were the finishing touch to a complete deck renovation in which they definitely added an abundance of interest and fabulous color! The same flashy pink, purple and orange colors were incorporated in the throw pillows for a completed look. Sharon used exterior paint in these three
Benjamin Moore colors: Passion Plum, Cherry Wine, and Orange Blossom.
Customer Created Stenciled Wall Art
Some of our very own non-professional customers have created their painted canvases with our stencils, too! Janet sent us a photo of her pretty, bright wall art that she decided to display in her living room! She used our Casablanca Stencil for the two side canvases and our
Gabi's Brocade Stencil for the highly detailed design in the center! We love the combination of colors against the already vibrant wall!
And then we have Heidi's
Birch Forest Stenciled masterpiece! She put so much hard work into this multi-colored canvas, and it turned out so uniquely adorable! Heidi even hand painted initials on one branch to look like carvings in the wood! We love her attention to detail, and this long canvas sure brings a sense of nature and creativity to any room! Check it out below, and make sure to read the
tutorial here!
