Stenciling a DIY mandala can become a calming, meditative experience that encourages your creativity and focus. Cutting Edge Stencils shares a DIY Mandala Stencil Tutorial Erika, our crafty stencil guru here at Cutting Edge Stencils, works her magic in this Mandala video tutorial once again! Introducing wall stencils to a room can be an easy way to create texture and dimension. Erika is here to show you how easy this 2-toned Metallic Mandala stencil pattern can be. Take a quick peek at this video tutorial before we begin: We will use these gorgeous Modern Masters Metallic paint for our wall art. The colors we chose are Rose and Mystical Green. To apply these colors you will need two 2" dense foam rollers and a paper towel! Metallic paint and dense foam roller materials To prepare for your wall art, you will paint the walls your desired base coat. Then using Sticky Note Spray adhesive and blue painters tape, place the first half of your mandala stencil against the wall! Make sure it is straight and laid flat. Half medallion mandala placement on the wall For the paint, you will designate each dense foam roller to one color. Sporadically roll small sections of each metallic paint all over the stencil for a two-toned design. Start off with a very thin layer and you can slowly increase the paint for more coverage. This will avoid any bleeding. Radiance Mandala Stencil painted using You can then begin to cover the entire mandala stencil! Be sure to blend the colors together when changing rollers so it doesnt look "spotty." Painting the radiance mandala wall stencil using metallic paints Once the first half of the wall art is done, peal back the wall stencil to view the beauty! You can let it dry for a few minutes. Pealing off the stencil from the wall Align the stencil with the previously painted registration marks to create the full Mandala stencil! Aligning the stencil with the previously painted registration marks Using the same metallic paint and technique, you can roll the colors along the rest of the stencil for that two-toned look! Final painting job on the radiance mandala stencil Once every inch of the Radiance mandala stencil is painted in and you are content with the colors, you can peal it back to view your gorgeous DIY wall art!
