Fun Furniture Makeovers Using Stencils

Stencils Give Old Furniture A Fun New Look

Good morning, my DIY friends. Before you toss that old furniture to the curb, we have fun DIY projects using stencils. Sometimes old pieces of furniture don't fit in with your current decor but they still have lots of life left in them. All it takes is paint, pattern, and some decorative knobs to transform an old piece from blah to ooh la la. Cutting Edge Stencils is here to inspire you with two stenciled furniture makeovers. Let's take a look... Cutting Edge Stencils shares how paint, pattern, and some decorative knobs can transform an old furniture from blah to ooh la la. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/collections/craft-stencils-furniture-stencils We'd like to welcome back Kammy, the creative DIYer behind the blog Kammy's Korner. Awhile back Kammy's friend gave her an old side table that she planned on tossing. Kammy stuck it in her spare room and pretty much forgot about it. Then one day she had to relocate her bedroom side table. She started to think about replacing it when she remembered the curbside treasure sitting in her guest room. While there was nothing wrong with the small side table, it's glossy black exterior didn't match her space. Kammy decided to give it a makeover using paint and a stencil. She painted it the table a soft minty hue and then stenciled the Casablanca craft stencil in a soothing gray. Kammy commented, " I love how it turned out! Thanks, Cutting Edge Stencils. I love your products. I truly, duly do!" Aw, we think this table looks awesome. Evey came across this total steal of a vanity at a local thrift shop. This diamond in the rough was in desperate need of a makeover. Evey sanded it down and painted it pink and taupe. But then Frozen fever broke out. For those of you with Frozen fans, you know exactly what we are talking about! Her princess longed for a Frozen themed room and this loving mama aimed to please. So she sanded the piece down and started from scratch. First she painted the vanity a pretty shade of turquoise and petal pink. Then she was ready to add decorative Frozen-inspired elements. Evey decided to paint our Snowflake Stencil in white using three different sizes. The she added the popular Frozen characters using a decoupage technique. She spills the beans on her blog. To complete the makeover, she added glass decorative knobs. Now this is a makeover that is worth melting for!
