Stencils Give Old Furniture A Fresh New Look!

Making over one piece of furniture can give your whole room a new look and feel. Our furniture stencils can make these projects simple and inexpensive. All it takes is a little bit of creative thinking, paint, and a stencil to update your old piece. Today we're excited to share two stenciled furniture makeovers.
Victoria Stenciled Dressers
We'd like you to welcome back Kandice, the furniture makeover maven from Just The Woods. Kandice had a Client with a gorgeous set of modern dressers. The Client loved the pieces but wanted to update them and paint them gray. After some discussion, they decided on a gray body with dark gray top and metallic stencil top! The first thing she did was paint the dressers in a creamy elephant gray. Kandice painted a slightly darker gray on the top and then selected a stencil. She fell in love with our new
Victoria Scroll Allover Stencil. Kandice used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the pattern in dark metallic silver using a stencil brush. She used the existing hardware because it still fit the pieces. Kandice had this to say about her stenciled dressers, "The dressers with their very straight clean lines tied with the tone on tone top give an overall elegant appearance. Zamira Stenciled End Tables
We'd like you to meet Kelsey, the creative DIY blogger behind
Tattered and Inked. She had scored two hotel end tables for $10 from a local thrift store. The small wooden tables were worn but functioned well. Kelsey's DIY wheels began to turn and she had the perfect makeover in mind. First she painted the end tables in a bright white using Snowbound by Sherwin Williams. After painting two coats of the eye-catching hue, Kelsey was ready to kick it up a notch. She browsed our online stencil collection and fell in love with the
Zamira Craft Stencil. She used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the Moroccan furniture pattern using a stencil brush in gray. After the paint was dry, she spray painted the hardware silver and applied a coat of polycrylic . Kelsey commented, "Soo pretty! Paint took it from dark & plain to light & completely one-of-a-kind."
