Make Old Furniture Look New and Fabulous With A Stencil
Furniture Stencils Can Make Old Furniture Look Better Than New
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Our
furniture stencil patterns are a creative solution for updating old pieces of furniture. It's easy to turn trashed furniture into a stenciled treasure
with a fresh coat of paint and a stencil pattern. Today we are sharing two DIY furniture makeovers that are very inspiring. Let's take a look.
Flower Stencils Make An Old Table Look Shabby Chic
We'd like you to meet Cassidi Bunes, the creative mind behind the furniture restoration and antique shop
The Joshua Tree Refurnishing. Cassidi inherited a small round coffee table that was worn and needed a little love. Since she loves to give new life to old pieces in hopes that someone will love it again, she was thrilled to tackle this coffee table project. She sanded and painted the entire coffee table in gray. Then she chose to give the top a dose of personality using a pretty
flower stencil pattern. After browsing our website, the
Summer Blossom Wall Art Stencil was selected. Cassidi used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the whimsical flower pattern in white using a stencil brush. Once it was finished, she snapped a picture and posted on her facebook page, "
Finished this shabby chic coffee table today. Love this look, it's so fresh. ?? Pictures don't do it justice. " We love how this coffee table turned out!
Indian Inlay Stencil Pattern Give A Dresser A Contemporary Look
Next we'd like you to meet Heather, the creative DIYer and blogger behind
The Daily DIY Life. Heather inherited a pair of side tables from her grandmother over twenty years ago. The side tables were dated and worn. At one point, Heather had attempted to paint them black but they still felt lackluster. That's when Heather decided to add a pretty pattern using the
Indian Inlay Stencil Kit. Heather selected this stencil because she said, "I loved the geometric designs mixed with the floral. The fact that I could mix and match to fit the piece I was stenciling was perfect. " Before she stenciled, she repainted them but this time she used Homestead Blue paint. Then she used painter's tape to hold the
Indian Inlay Stencil in place and painted the bone inlay inspired pattern in
white using a stencil brush. Heather had this to say about the project, " The transformation of these sentimental side tables is amazing. " We love the fresh take on these sentimental pieces!
