12 Days of Stenciling: Stenciling a Winter Wonderland

Cutting Edge Stencils Shares Silver Stenciled Room & Furniture Ideas That Shimmer

Good morning, my stenciling friends. The weather outside is frightful but Cutting Edge Stencils is feeling so delightful and since there's no place to go, we say let's stencil! Are you wondering what has us singing this holiday tune? First, we have really been enjoying our 12 Days of Stenciling feature where we've shared stenciled guest bedrooms and adorable DIY gift ideas. And second, we love the idea of bringing a little winter wonderland indoors. Curious as to what we have in mind? Come take a stroll with us...

Today's project of the day is Stenciling in Silver.

Meet Yveline, an interior designer and the faux finisher behind Yveline & Associates. Yveline was working with a client on renovating a bathroom. She selected a silvery gray with cool blue undertones as her base color in the bathroom. Then she chose to use the Birch Forest stencil in a pearly white hue. We love how she positioned the stencil in the corner of the bathroom. Its unique placement, along with the color combination and sparkly accents, make it a truly glamorous space! We want you to meet Rhody Hausauer, the interior decorator behind Window Shopping Interior Design. Rhody was working with a client to create a modern and chic home. For the bedroom, she painted the walls a soft shade of white. Then she chose to stencil our Oceana Damask pattern in a silver metallic to give the space a high-end wallpaper look. Rhody says, "The metallic paint catches the light and makes the walls dance." We can't take our eyes off this stunning bedroom! Want to bring a little Winter Wonderland into your bedroom? Then you're going to like the next project by Rachel from Family Ever After. Despite the fact that Rachel had no experience with stenciling, she decided to stencil her bedroom using our Diamond Damask Stencil. She said, “I took the plunge and ordered the fanciest looking stencil. Then I got even more adventurous and used metallic silver paint. I’m so glad I went for it.” We are too, because we love her jaw-dropping gorgeous bedroom!

Dora The Restorer. We love her and her upcycled pieces. Dora got into the wintery spirit with this oh-so-pretty stenciled table. She said, "I painted it a dark grey. For the top, I used a metallic silver glaze with the Paisley Allover stencil." The barely there stencil design adds an elegant look to this upcycled table.
