5 Decorating Ideas Using the Chinese Ginkgo Stencils
Stencils, Like The Chinese Ginkgo Stencil, Can Have An Impact On A Space
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! We've had our eye on a popular stencil these days, the Chinese Ginkgo Stencil. This wispy leaf inspired pattern comes in two sizes, Medium and Large. It's also a part of the Kim Myles Global Glam Collection. To show you how versatile and easy-to-use these ginkgo leaf stencils are, check out these 5 DIY stencil projects from our creative fans.
First up is a kitchen that shows how a subtle wall stencil can take a plain white wall from blah to ooh la la. We spotted this pretty kitchen on HGTV's Leave It To Bryan, a fun home makeover show in Canada. The Chinese Ginkgo Stencil was painted in a warm brown hue and has a wallpaper like look. It perfectly compliments the crisp white accents and classic decor elements in the couple’s mid-century modern kitchen.
As it turns out, designers also use the Chinese Ginkgo Stencil to transform spaces. Anything But Plain Decorative Finishes and Plasters stenciled the gold foil ginkgo leaf design on the chocolate pearl fresco walls of a powder room. Stunning!
Arlene Best Interiors painted this lovely space in soft cream hues and stenciled with the Ginkgo Leaf Stencil.
Now this beautiful, leafy pattern is not exclusively used on walls. In fact, Gina painted the Chinese Ginkgo Stencil on a canvas. Then she hung them on the third floor of the Community Hospital & Wellness Center in Bryan, Ohio. Patients are greeted with a little bit of stenciled beauty.
This stencil is truly versatile and flattering on walls and furniture. Kim Myles used this global glam design on a table makeover for The OWN Show, a digital series on the Oprah Network. She stenciled the DIY table using the stencil and gold craft paint in just two minutes. We love the outcome! See how she did it in this post.
