A Bright & Beautiful Stenciled Nursery
A Stenciled Accent Wall In A Pink and Teal Nursery
Good morning, my stencil lovin' mamas and papas. Now the last time CES brought up the old pink or blue saying, we were talking about navy paired with coral. With the summer season right around the corner, it seems only natural that we'd spot this trendy color combination in brighter shades. Today we're gonna share a pink and teal nursery featuring a stenciled accent wall. We are in L.O.V.E. and this could prove to be the perfect inspiration for your little girl's nursery. Let's take a look...Pink & Teal Stenciled Nursery
We'd like to introduce you to Heidi, the proud mama and creative DIYer behind the blog Mama Say What. Heidi says that after finiding out that her little bundle of joy was a girl, she knew she wanted a fun accent wall in her nursery. Since she had previously stenciled an accent wall in her master bedroom and had gotten so many compliments, she knew a stencil was the perfect way to create her fun accent wall. Here is the space before its stenciled makeover. After searching on our website for the perfect stencil pattern, cha-ching, she found it! The second she spotted our Gabrielle Damask pattern, Heidi knew it would be absolutely perfect. She had painted the accent wall a soft pink, similar to Benjamin Moore's strawberry freeze 2090-60. Heidi used painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. Here's a shot of her working through the stencil process. Then she painted the damask pattern in two colors, a deeper rosy shade of pink similar to Benjamin Moore's glamour pink 2006-40 and a metallic silver. She painted the deeper pink first and before she moved the stencils, she painted the metallic hue. She said, "Some spots were more metallic than others, but it made it look almost like textured wallpaper that way." After the shimmery stenciled accent wall was complete, Heidi completed the room with several DIY projects and some teal colored accents. Are you ready for it? Here is Heidi's little girl's nursery. She had this to say about her newly stenciled space, "I finished off the other walls in a light grey the next day and I love how it all looks together." Absolutely adorable! One of our favorite decor items, besides her beautiful stencil pattern, is that dresser. Heidi says it was a Craigslist steal that she ended up transforming into this cutie.
