Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Pretty and Practical. If those are two words that don't describe your home office then you've come to the right spot. Wall stencils are the perfect way to add just the right amount of pattern and color to any space. Today we're sharing a home office makeover that features a trendy Connection Allover Stenciled accent wall and carefully chosen decor elements to achieve a pretty yet practical style. Come take a look... We'd like you to meet Tessa, the interior design fanatic and small business owner behind the blog Interiors by Tessa. Tessa was working with the Phillips family to makeover their home office. Here is a snapshot of the space: Bland and boring sums up the space. Meanwhile Tessa describes the Phillips style as "mid-century modern combined with some industrial pieces using fun, bright colors. They are anything but a boring couple and their style truly expresses it! " So the couple needed a design plan to make their home office match their personal style. Tessa got to work and drafted up this concept. The design board took into account that the room was directly to the right of the entrance of the home so it needed a little wow factor. Tessa selected a colorful rug and two matching his and her desks. She also chose to add a geometric wall stencil, the Connection Allover Stencil. This trendy pattern seems to be a favorite amongst designers. Tessa recommended that they use a dark gray flat paint for the background and stencil the Connection Allover Stencil pattern in a high gloss version of the same dark gray hue. We always recommend using blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern on the wall. Once her entire accent wall was stenciled, the Phillips added the decor items suggested by Tessa. Are you ready to see how it all turned out?
