Stenciling An Accent Wall In A Laundry Room Using the Nagoya Pattern

Good morning, my stenciling friends! Do you ever get the feeling like you're spending an awful lot of time in the laundry room? Washing, folding, sorting, there are days where it doesn't seem to end. The ironic part is that the laundry room tends to be the most neglected space in a home when it comes to decorating. Cutting Edge Stencils is here to help! We have a stenciled laundry room makeover that will hopefully inspire you to bring your space to a new stylish level. Let’s take a look... We'd like you to meet Kayla, the creative DIYer behind the blog Home Coming, and take a look at her stylish laundry room makeover. Kayla had a laundry list of DIY projects and on that list was her laundry/powder room. It looked the same way it did when they moved in seven years ago and in her opinion it needed a major change. It was a chocolate brown color. Kayla had this to say about the space, "This room is seriously lacking and I've got some updates in mind that will help transform the space from a dark, dirty space to something a little more refreshing. " Here is a before shot: The first thing she did was put together a mood board for the space which included our Nagoya Allover pattern. She wanted to use a light gray that she had used in several spots of her home. She said, " I like this option because I love how really white rooms look with natural colors of wood." The plan was to use the stencil in a light gray and white. Since the wall was painted white already, she painted the Nagoya Allover Stencil in Behr's quietude. She used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall. Then she poured her paint into a paper plate and painted with a dense foam roller. Once the stencil was complete, she put everything back in place and added some stylish accesories. Ready to see how it all turned out? Here is Kayla's beautiful laundry room after its makeover. She had this to say about her newly stenciled space, "I'm pretty darn happy with the way it turned out!"
