Meet Anu, the proud mama of a baby girl and blogger behind Kalai Ulagam. When the expecting mama found out she was having a baby girl, she was beyond excited. Her family and friends generously donated some of their favorite clothing and toys, that left Anu with a bigger decorating budget. She painted the walls a lovely shade of green similar to Benjamin Moore's sweet daphne 529. The yellow- green delivers a reliable pop of refreshing color that is bold but not too bright. To add interest to the walls, Anu decided to decorate an accent wall with a stencil. She selected the Butterfly Bloom No. 2, a fun and feminine stencil pattern. She used painters tape to hold the stencil in place while she painted the pattern with a dense foam roller in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's simply white OC-117. Anu had this to say about her butterfly stencil, "this is my favorite in the whole room :)" Awe, so sweet. Once the stencil was complete, she purchased her furniture from Pottery Barn Kids and a rug from Ikea. Here is her adorable nursery! Moroccan Dream Stenciled Nursery Next up, we want you to meet Mary, the proud mama of a baby girl and photographer behind Birchtree Photography. Mary was thrilled to be expecting a baby girl but when it came time to plan the nursery she said, "I knew I didn’t want a “pink, girly” nursery–even though we are expecting a girl." Mary agonized over her color choice until one day she found inspiration in her favorite horse painting. She knew she wanted to hang the pretty painting in the space and it helped her land on a purple and pale green color scheme. Mary painted the walls a color similar to Benjamin Moore's lily lavender 2070-61. Then she wanted to break up the purple in the room and decided a stencil was the perfect way to accomplish her goal. She chose the Moroccan Dream Allover Stencil, one of our most popular Moroccan patterns. She painted the pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's sea foam 2123-60, To complete the space she added delicate white accessories.
