A Trellis Allover Stenciled Mudroom
Stencils Add A Fun Twist To A Traditional Mudroom
Good morning, my stenciling friends!
Cutting Edge Stencils wants to know if you like to have fun designing your home? If the answer is yes, we're about to become besties!
Wall stencils are an easy way to add a fun splash of pattern and color to a space. Let's take a look at a stenciled mudroom featuring our Trellis Allover that is fun, practical, and oh so stylish.
We'd like to welcome back Heather, the decorating enthusiast and avid DIYer behind the blog
Put That On Your Blog. You might recall her stunning
Coco Trellis stenciled living room:
Ooh la la! Well it looks like this DIY diva might have been bitten by the stenciling bug because we recently spotted her stenciled mudroom. Heather admits that she wanted to have fun designing some of the rooms in her home. She said, " So I am going for a scheme of a multitude of fun blues for the mudroom. I fell in love with a blue and white trellis wallpaper, before I found out it was $200 a roll." Yikes! That sort of price tag could burst anyone's design bubble. It's a good thing Heather doesn't give up easily! She found our
Trellis Allover Stencil which mimics that popular wallpaper pattern but stencils are easy to apply and much more affordable.
Heather painted the mudroom using Benjamin Moore’s Mascarpone. She used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and painted the trellis pattern using Sherwin Williams Bubble. She poured her paint into a paper plate and painted with a dense foam roller.
Once the stencil was complete, Heather completed the room with several DIY projects. She added custom mudroom cubbies, a grey tile floor and revamped chandelier. Ready to see how Heather's functional yet stylish mudroom turned out?
Here is another view of those hand-crafted cubies.
Heather didn't stop there! She continued to create the most organized command center that we've ever seen.
She said, "My mudroom looks like a real room of the house. The magnet boards keep track of homework, rules, assignments, and grocery lists (coming soon). "
Oh and did you spot a stencil pattern or two on those magnetic boards? Yup we did! We spy our
Coco Trellis and
Charlotte stencils on those cuties. You can see how she crafted them
