Use Wall Stencils To Decorate An Accent Wall

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! It's time to kick up your decorating style. Let's kiss those boring and bland walls goodbye with a painted stencil pattern. Our large selection of stencil patterns take any space from blah to ooh la la. Today we’re going to share an accent wall featuring our Kerala Allover Stencil. Come take a look... We'd like to introduce Giselle R., a creative DIYer and Cutting Edge Stencils fan. Giselle had a boring bedroom with plain white walls. Here is what her bedroom looked like before: It was lackluster and she knew it. Giselle wanted to add some pattern to the wall behind her bed. Wallpaper was not an option because it was too expensive and a hassle to install. Giselle searched for alternative DIY wallpaper options and fell in love with the idea of stenciling. She browsed our large collection of stencil patterns before selecting the Kerala Stencil. This wall stencil is a beautiful pattern inspired by a trip to India. The easy to use Indian stencil pattern can instantly add exotic flare to any space with its luxury wallpaper look. With her stencil in hand, she was ready to start her accent wall project! She used blue painter's tape to hold the Indian pattern in place. She poured her soft gray craft paint into a foam tray and then painted the pattern using a dense foam roller. Giselle found the clip on stencil level to be a very handy stenciling tool. She used it to help ensure her pattern was even on the wall. If you are recreating this project at home, be sure to roll off any excess paint to eliminate bleed. After each section of the stencil is complete, simply untape it and reposition to finish the pattern on the wall. It can be helpful to clean the stencil in between uses. Giselle moved her furniture back into place and had this to say about her project, "This plain wall went from blah to wow! Thanks to #cuttingedgestencils.
