Bedroom Makeover: A Stenciled Touch of Drama

Stencils Can Make a Big Impact on A Master Bedroom Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Does your master bedroom have you dreaming of a makeover? We'd like to introduce Lisa, the DIY decor enthusiast behind the blog A Dash of Lisa. Lisa and her husband moved into their home last Fall. She had been dreaming and pinning tons of decor ideas especially for her master bedroom. One of her decor dreams was to create an accent wall in her new bedroom. Here is a picture of the space. Gorgeous, right? Lisa had her heart set on an accent wall. She had been swooning over the many wallpaper patterns she spotted on Pinterest. Her husband disliked the idea of wallpaper. The hassle of the application process and the high expense were turn offs. Lucky for Lisa, she discovered that you can achieve a wallpaper like look for a fraction of the cost using stencils. She was super excited to see all of our stencil patterns. After browsing the online collection, she fell in love with our very popular Marrakech Trellis Allover Stencil. Lisa's husband used painter's tape to help hold the stencil in place and then painted the Moroccan wall pattern in Metallic Silver by ArtMinds over the gray wall using a dense foam roller. After he painted one section, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition it to stencil a new section. She did this until the pattern was complete on the wall. Once it was all complete, Lisa moved her furniture back into place and stepped back to admire her stenciled wall. Are you ready to see how it all turned out? Here is Lisa's pretty accent wall.
