We'd like you to welcome back Greg, one of the Cutting Edge Stencils owners and a creative DIYer. Greg loves to stencil and had a white wall that needed a dose of personality. Rather than put up floral wallpaper, which can be a hassle to install and very expensive, he decided to paint a pretty pattern using a Japanese Peonies wall design. For our visual fans, you're going to love this stencil tutorial that Greg put together. In this short video, he shows fans how easy it is to stencil an accent wall using a Japanese Peonies wallpaper stencil. Let's walk through the steps for completing this project. Greg started with a freshly painted white wall. He decided to use our flower wall pattern, the Japanese Peonies Allover Stencil, to create a beautiful accent wall.

With his floral pattern in hand he was ready for the fun part, stenciling! Greg carefully taped the stencil to the wall. He used the clip-on stencil level to ensure the pattern was even on the wall. He used a stencil brush to paint the peony flowers in a rosy pink. Greg made sure he brushed off any excess paint on a piece of paper towel. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed. He painted the leaf pattern in green using a dense foam roller. Once the entire design was painted, he carefully removed the stencil from the wall to reveal the design.
