Give Your Closet A Style Boost Using Stencils
Decorate Your Master Bedroom Closet With A Stencil Pattern
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends! When closet space is at a premium, it's important to make every inch count in a stylish way.
Stencil patterns are a great way to enhance the space with personality. Today we’re going to share a bedroom closet makeover featuring our
Dalmatian Spots Allover Stencil. Come take a look...
We'd like to introduce Becky, a super creative DIYer and the blogger behind
The Other Side of Neutral. Becky loves decorating and fashion but her master bedroom closet did not reflect either passion. She described the space as dark, dis-functional, and an unorganized space. The first thing she did was clean out the space. Here is what her bedroom closet looked like before the makeover but after the cleanup:
The closet clean up was a great way to start this project. Becky took the time to research an organizational system that worked for her needs. Rather than toss the items back into the space in an organized fashion, Becky wanted to add some style and personality to her closet. She put together a mood board that contained patterns, colors, and must have decor pieces.
We love the cool hues paired with the copper finishes but more importantly we love the
spotted wall pattern. Painting a
stencil design in an easy way to enhance any space. Becky had browsed our large collection of stencil patterns before selecting the
Dalmatian Spots Stencil. This pretty wall pattern is based on trendy
spotty wallpaper.
With her stencil in hand, she was ready to start
stenciling! Becky's accent wall was painted white. She used blue painter's tape to hold the
Dalmatian Spots pattern in place. She poured her
Valspar Paint (Dark and Stormy Night) into a foam tray and then painted the pattern using a dense foam roller. If you are recreating this project at home, be sure to roll off any excess paint to eliminate bleed. After each section of the stencil is complete, simply untape it and reposition to finish the pattern on the wall. It can be helpful to clean the stencil in between uses. stencil tutorials.
Becky loved the navy hue so much she continued the pretty color onto another wall. Then she assembled her new closet organizer which you can read all about on her
blog. Let's get to the fun reveal. Are you ready to see how her stenciled closet turned out? Here it is!
Becky had this to say about her stencil project, " The
Dottie stencil was an awesome addition to my master bedroom renovation! "
