How To Stencil The Tamara Trellis Pattern
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends. A welcoming room begins with a well dressed wall. We want you to consider dressing up your walls with one of our
Moroccan inspired wall patterns. Today we're sharing a simple tutorial showing how simple it is to give an accent wall a wallpaper look using our
Tamara Trellis Allover Stencil. Let's take a look...
We'd like you to welcome back Greg, one of the Cutting Edge Stencils owners and a creative DIYer. It's not a secret that Greg loves to stencil so when he spots a white wall, he feels compelled to paint a stencil pattern! Wallpaper can be a hassle to install and very expensive so a Moroccan inspired stencil pattern, like the
Tamara Trellis Stencil is a great option.
For those who love tutorials, Greg put together this quick instructional video using the Tamara Trellis Allover
Moroccan stencil. In this brief video, Greg shows fans how easy it is to stencil an accent wall using this stylish wall pattern.
Let's walk through the steps for completing this project. Greg started with a freshly painted white wall. He decided to use our
trellis wall pattern to create an eye-catching accent wall.
With his Moroccan inspired pattern in hand he was ready to start
stenciling! Greg carefully taped the stencil to the wall. He used the
clip-on stencil level to ensure the pattern was even on the wall. This tool is very handy when completing a wall project. He used a two inch dense foam roller to paint the pattern in a pretty teal hue.
Greg made sure he rolled off any excess paint on a piece of paper towel. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed. Once the entire design was painted, he carefully removed the Tamara Trellis Stencil from the wall to reveal the design. This is the fun part!
Since the wall was not complete, Greg lined up the stencil using the interlocking pattern. Our stencil designs make overlapping the previously painted part easy. Greg points out the three diamonds on the bottom of the pattern. This is where the stencil should line up.
After it was lined up and taped to the wall, he continued to paint the stylish
Beads wall pattern.
When the wall was complete, Greg decorated his newly stenciled space. He then stepped back to admire the trellis wall pattern. Are you ready to see his teal-riffic accent wall? We thought so! Here is his accent wall featuring the
Tamara Trellis.
We love the stylish flair that this Moroccan pattern paired with this bold color combination gives this wall.
